Ben Harris Fans of Vatican Shadow shouldn't overlook this. If you imagine that project with more of an emphasis on hushed 4x4 beats and replace VS's austere coldness with a sublime warmth then that should give you an inkling of what to expect on this gift of a record. Favorite track: God has died, and his death was the life of the world.

patrykczachurski Why is the notion of you and me being a decaying corpse of God so eerily comforting? It couldn't be otherwise with this album, whose nihilistic themes are delivered with a powerful ambience under cosily modest melody lines. Indeed, whoever dares ponder the tragedy of existence is offered here a very warm place to stay.

These sublime choirs - originally meant to sing a never-ending praise, now ironically find their purpose in celebrating God's descent unto annihilation. Favorite track: God has died, and his death was the life of the world.

Net Every Docetism release is a bit different, showing a healthy desire not to stagnate. Dub drops well out of focus on this EP, with nary a stab in earshot. Instead, Docetism applies those beloved choir samples of his to unexpectedly accessible, uplifting ambient pop-techno ditties. A nice change in direction. Favorite track: God has died, and his death was the life of the world.

about

nichts33

More bass-driven metaphysics.

Inspired by the philosophy of Philipp Mainländer (1841-1876) and his conception of God's death as the beginning of the world presented in "Die Philosophie der Erlösung".

Enjoy life and be kind to each other - we are all on the same road to nothingness.

Cover: my variation on "Christ Crucified" (1632) by Diego Velázquez
